About The 1st Team

Our First XI play at Barrington Park and compete in the uhlsport sponsored Hellenic Premier League, which is Level 9 of the football pyramid system (also known as Step 5). Promotion is to the Southern League above and the Gloucestershire County League, Oxfordshire Senior League, Thames Valley Premier Football League and Wiltshire League below.

The league was established in 1953 and comprises of the Premier Division, Division One North, South, East & West and there are three divisions for veterans.

The league was regionalised ahead of the 2000-01 season and Shrivenham gained promotion to the Premier League back in 2004-05 when they won the League 1 West Championship and again as runners up in 2017-18. Shrivenham have stayed a constant in the division since gaining promotion in 2017-18 and had their best season in 2018-19 under new ownership when they finished fifth.



Rob Broadbank

Joint First XI Manager

Robbo joined the club in July 2021 having previously managed at Devizes Town, Carterton and Highworth Town Reserves.

Dan Broadbank

Joint First XI Manager

Dan joined Shrivenham in July 2021 leaving his managerial role at Wiltshire Senior League side Lambourn Sports in order to team up with his father and reunite the partnership they held at Devizes Town.

Elliott Day

First XI Coach

Appointed Coach during last season but has been around the club since he was a youngster. Has a successful background in the fitness industry which has professionalised the clubs approach to this area.

Jonathan Himple

First XI Goalkeeper Coach

Joined the club in July 2021 having coached keepers from U18s to Senior levels over the past four years.

James Foster


James is an experienced keeper and is a great shot stopper. He is also very beneficial in the air and commands his box very well. He will make the defence feel confident this season.

Adam Bright


Adam is a well established defender and is solid at the back. He has good communication which is vital for defenders. He is good on the ball and will be a good addition for Rob and Dan’s squad this year.

Joe Broadbank


Joe last ran out in the blue and white hoops during the 2018-19 season, making 6 appearances and picking up 1 yellow card and returns to work under his family members of Rob and Dan Broadbank.

Josh Gregory


Josh is a hard working player who has a great footballing brain. He was previously with the club a couple seasons ago and it’s great that he has returned not only for the footballing side but also a benefit to the bar.

James Bowers


Having played under Shrivenham joint Manager Rob Broadbank during his time at Carterton, the player has also had spells at Cinderford Town and Cheltenham Saracens during his footballing career and can best be described as a pacey defender who loves the opportunity to push forward.

Louis Rendall


Louis is a pacey defender who is good on the ball. He works hard for the team and is an exciting player. He is looking forward to the season ahead with the new squad.

Jamie Stones


Jamie is an experienced centre midfielder and is a new signing for this season. He is very calm on the ball and has great passing ability.

Jamie Broadbank


Jamie is an experienced midfielder and will be a good addition to Rob and Dan’s squad. He is a good passer of the ball and works hard for the team.

Tom Ballard


Tom, who originally joined the club in the 2018-19 season left Barrington Park ahead of the 2020-21 campaign, having scored 10 goals in 21 appearances during his first season and 7 goals from 35 appearances during his second year. He cant wait to get going again for Shrivenham.

Jonny Davoille


John is an experienced midfielder who has had caps for other clubs including previous club Wantage Town FC. He has started well in pre season and is looking forward to an exciting season ahead.

Harrison Bennett


Brilliant young talent who has been brought in to strengthen the defense. Morgan has a brilliant engine on him and a brilliant delivery.

Bradley Hirst


Bradley is an exciting young talent and has been with the club since youth football. Within that time he has picked up various individual awards including the Golden Boot title having scored 46 goals during the 2017-18 season, followed by 31 in 2018-19 and with 21 goals last term, he was the overall top goal scorer at the club once again.

Josh Shama


Josh is a good finisher and knows how to get the ball forward. Brilliant with the ball at his feet and very tricky. He is a great target man and is a nightmare for defenders.

Joshua McGrory


Josh is a very fast attacker and will cause problems for any defender and is also a very reliable finisher in front of goal. New to the club this season joining from Calne Town, he has been impressive.
