About The 1st Team

Our First Team plays at Barrington Park and competes in the Uhl Sport sponsored Hellenic League One West, which is Level 10 of the football pyramid and is a feeder league to the Southern League above and the Gloucestershire County League, Oxfordshire Senior League, Thames Valley Premier Football League and Wiltshire League below.

The league was established in 1953 and as of this season, comprises of a Premier Division, Division One East, Division One West and two divisions for reserve teams as well as two leagues for veterans.

The league was regionalised ahead of the 2000-01 season and our only promotion to this day was when we won the West Championship title in 2004-05.

Gareth’s success is no secret, last season he and his coaching staff guided Fairford to the Hellenic Division One West title in impressive style winning 24 out of the 30 games. Gareth brings a wealth of knowledge to the team and is a real asset to Shrivenham FC. We are delighted to have him on-board.

Chris Robinson

1st Team Assistant Manager/Coach

Chris was with Gareth at Fairford last season and was a huge part of the success of the team. He will be with the team at training and on matchdays and he’s the go-to guy. He will be around the changing room, out on the pitch before games to help us out and generally a huge help.

Ady Roper

Fraser Little

This is the third season that Fraser has played for us, having made the step up to senior football at a young age. Leigh Brown

An experienced centre midfield joined us two years ago, having spent his playing career with Highworth Town, Purton and Wroughton. Leigh was a regular in our side during the 2016-17 season. He is a dynamic and strong box-to-box midfielder who is also equally comfortable at right-back.

A former England Colleges FA International captain, the player is a product of the Cirencester Academy and went on to play for the clubs senior side in 2013 before he made the move to Supermarine and then Fairford in 2016. An exellent signing for us!

Tyler Sheppard

Tylers’ joins us for the 2017-18 season, an expirenced player who has a great engine. Will work his socks off. A combative attacking player, capable of playing through the middle or out wide. He’s a great addition to the team bridging the gap between the young and older players in the team.
