2021 Scarecrow Trail

Following on from our first ever Scarecrow Trail in August 2020, Shrivenham Football Club is thrilled to announce that the event is back for its second year!

The Trail raised over £400 last August [2021] which was donated to our then chosen charity – Pennyhooks Farm, however with Community Liaison Officer Kevin Hegg having built even greater club links within the village during the past twelve months, it has been decided that the annual event would be much better utilised in supporting our friends at FoSS – the Friends of Shrivenham School and help benefit local children with their education.

FoSS, is the parents’ association for the Shrivenham Church of England Primary School and they raise funds to provide those extras that add to the children’s experience while they are at the school.

They pay for a whole range of items from swimming lessons and sports kit to IT equipment and improvements to the playground and they raise money through everything from bake sales and raffles to race nights, so to team up with them is a win-win situation for everybody!

While the event will now come under the FoSS umbrella, we’ll do everything in our power to support them and help make the Shrivenham Scarecrow Trail even bigger and better each year!

This year’s Trail will take place between Monday August 16 [2021] through Sunday August 29 with the theme being Cartoon Characters so why not get involved and help make our 2021 Train even bigger?!

You can register your interest in taking part by emailing Kevin at festival@shrivenhamfc.co.uk and registration will close on Saturday July 31.
