Supporters are advised that following the sibling of one our players testing positive for Covid-19 recently, the player concerned has made the club aware this morning that while self-isolating, he has developed mild symptoms so the decision to postpone this evening’s uhlsport Hellenic Premier League fixture against Brimscombe & Thrupp has been made as a precaution.

The club’s nominated Covid Officers have acted swiftly and are in the process of contacting all of the players and officials involved in Saturday’s fixture about the situation, along with the Club Secretary from Camberley Town.

Suitable advice has been provided to all parties concerned and the player involved will be tested for the virus this afternoon.

Tonight’s Development and Youth sides will continue to train as usual this evening – minus of course all players involved in the First XI FA Vase fixture at the weekend.

The club would like to thank everybody involved in ensuring that this evening’s fixture was able to be postponed so swiftly and apologise for any inconvenience caused, but we’re sure you’ll agree that the health and wellbeing of all concerned is made priority during these times.

Special thanks are also given to our friends at Brimscombe & Thrupp, who have also conveyed their best wishes to the player and his family effected by today’s news and likewise, everybody here at Barrington Park echo those sentiments.

Shrivenham Football Club also send our gratitude to our nominated Covid Officers whose fantastic efforts based on the FA Guidelines have seen the club be able to act in a quick and decisive manner and we will of course keep everybody aware of the situation as we receive any news.
