Youth Role For Slev

Chris Slevin joins Youth management team.

Shrivenham Youth – the clubs U18s side, is pleased to announce the addition of Chris Slevin to the coaching set-up for the 2019-20 season.

Chris will work alongside manager Glenn Horsell to help nurture and develop the group of youngsters as they look to take the step up to the senior game.

Having previously been involved with coaching the clubs Development side, Chris was forced to take a backseat due to work commitments, however with those duties recently returning to normal, he has accepted an offer to assist manager Glenn Horsell with running the team.

“With Neesta [Neil Sutton] no longer being able to commit the time needed this coming season, Slev was the idea person to ask to step in and help,” Shrivenham Youth manager Glenn Horsell said on announcing the appointment.

“Neesta will still help out when needed so he’ll still be around the group, but Slev has very kindly agreed to take on the role and he was the obvious choice to do so.

“With the step up to the Wiltshire Senior League Floodlit division this season, there will be a lot more games, a lot more training and a lot more to do, so having someone with his experience and knowledge will be of massive benefit to everyone involved with our group and I’m very much looking forwards to working with him.”

Chris has already begun helping out at the groups training sessions and the news confirms that Shrivvy are continuing to strengthen in all areas as the new era at the club continues.
