Sporting Dinner With Tony Cascarino

Shrivenham Football Club is delighted to announce that Ex-Chelsea, Celtic and Republic of Ireland star Tony Cascarino, will be providing the entertainment in our next Sporting Dinner club fundraiser.

The 56-year old former striker began his footballing career in the non-league with Crockenhill in the Kent County Premier League before being snapped up by Gillingham in 1981 where he made 219 appearances scoring 78 goals before moving to Millwall six years later.

The 6’ 3” forward the next three years with the Lions, scoring 42 goals in 105 appearances before he signed for Aston Villa (43 appearances, 11 goals) and a year later moved to Celtic (18, 4) before moving to Chelsea (40, 8).

In 1994 he left Stamford Bridge and headed to French club Marseille where he scored a massive 61 goals from just 84 appearances and in 1997, headed to Nancy (109. 44) and ended his career with two games at Red Start 93 in 2000.

During his career, he amassed 629 appearances scoring 248 goals and featured for the Republic of Ireland between 1985 and 1999, including at the Euros in 1988 and at two World Cups (1990 and 1994) making 88 appearances and scoring 19 International goals.

Being another massive name in the footballing world and now in presenting the game on TalkSPORT, we’re expecting another sell-out event at the Legends Lounge (Swindon Town FC) so we’re advising to book your tickets early!

Tickets for the event are priced at £22 each and as well as Tony Cascarino, there’ll be comedy from Max Pressure and the evening will be hosted by Phil King.

Tickets also include a fish and chip supper and the bar will be open on the night.
