Shrivenham 4 Longlevens AFC 1

Shrivvy win bottom of the table six-pointer.

Shrivenham came out on top in this relegation clash courtesy of goals from Tom Ballard, Josh Parsons and a double strike by Antonio Gerrish, reports Your Sport Swindon.

Ballard edged Shrivvy in front after he pounced on a looping ball into the box from Parsons, on-loan from Swindon Supermarine.

Hosts Shrivenham held their lead until the break but just a minute after the re-start conceded a penalty which Shaun O’Connor despatched for Longlevens.

Just three minutes later Shrivvy went back in front after Parsons latched onto a Sam Ockwell ball to cleverly nod over the keeper and into the net.

Longlevens enjoyed a fine spell of pressure but after failing to breach the Shrivenham net for a second time, the hosts were able to extend their lead.

This time Parsons turned provider as he cross for Gerrish to slot home at the far post on 76 minutes.

And with 10 minutes remaining, Shrivenham sealed victory as Gerrish powered forward before scoring from 25 yards.

With fellow strugglers Tuffley Rovers and Abingdon slipping to defeats, the win moves gives Shrivenham a bit of breathing space at the bottom of the table.
